Homewood Season Passes Go on Sale March 16: What Tahoe Skiers Should Know
For many Tahoe locals and winter lovers, the countdown to next ski season starts early, and one of the first big dates to mark on the calendar is when Homewood Mountain Resort season passes go on sale.
This year, Homewood season passes will be available beginning Monday, March 16, giving skiers and snowboarders a chance to secure access to one of Lake Tahoe’s most scenic mountains before prices increase later in the season.
Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, Homewood is known for its stunning lake views, uncrowded slopes, and relaxed mountain atmosphere.
Why So Many Tahoe Locals Love Homewood
Homewood has always had a unique place in Tahoe’s ski culture.
Unlike some of the larger resorts around the lake, Homewood offers a more laid-back experience where you can spend the day riding with incredible views of Lake Tahoe almost everywhere on the mountain.
The resort features 66 runs and 7 lifts, offering terrain for a variety of ability levels while maintaining the quieter feel that many locals appreciate.
For many West Shore residents, Homewood is simply the place where they ski.
Homewood Season Pass Options
Homewood offers several season pass options depending on how often you plan to ski.
Typical pass categories include:
Unlimited Pass
Unlimited skiing and riding throughout the season.
Best Value Pass
The best balance of value and flexibility, this pass is valid 7 days a week excluding peak holiday days.
Weekly 2-Day Pass
Enjoy any two days mid-week excluding peak holiday dates.
True Local Pass
A discounted pass option available to full-time West Shore residents, helping keep the mountain accessible to the local community. West Shore Resident Passes will be available for 30 days from March 16 to April 15, 2026.
Season pass pricing varies by age category, with passes typically available for:
• Adults
• Teens
• Juniors
• Seniors
• Family pass options
Pass holders also receive perks such as free winter parking and additional mountain discounts depending on the pass type.
Why Buying Early Matters
Like most ski resorts around Tahoe, Homewood uses tiered pricing for season passes, which means prices typically increase as the season approaches.
Purchasing early, especially during the spring sale period, often gives skiers the best price available for the upcoming winter season.
For those who ski regularly, a season pass often pays for itself after just a few days on the mountain.
A Favorite Tahoe Ski Spot
One of the things I personally love about Homewood is the combination of incredible lake views and a relaxed West Shore vibe.
My husband and I often ski and snowboard there during the winter, and it’s hard to beat riding down the mountain with Lake Tahoe stretched out below you.
Homewood has always felt like one of the places that captures the true spirit of the West Shore.
